Projects en français

Portfolio V1

Project overview

A screenshot of the website's landing page, with a big bold welcome.

Portfolio version 1.0 was the first personal development project I completed since starting at Ada Tech School. It needed to showcase the projects I had worked on, provide links to my other social media pages, and include information about myself. Additionally, it had to be available in both English and French.

Design inspiration

Screenshot of the Cognac Godet website showing big serif text with images in between some words.
I liked the large serif text with images between the words from Cognac Godet.
Amie's website, with a semi-transparent navbar.
When Amie's new website was released, I was instantly drawn to their navbar. I experimented with a couple of designs but kept returning to one that looked similar.
Pedro Duarte's website in dark mode, very simple and minimalistic.
I liked the clean and simple appearance of Pedro Duarte's website. As a result, my case study pages ended up resembling his blog posts. Great website, Pedro!
A diagram of button with all its shadows and colors explained.
I used Farrel Putra's guide to buttons to create the labels on my website. A very minimalistic technique that yields great results.

Iterations

A screenshot of the Figma file used to explore all the design possibilities.

1st iteration - mono font, white background, single page with lots of links.

2nd iteration - dark mode, one block of text with links highlighted.

3rd iteration - navbar, big welcome message, and two paragraphs.

4th iteration - navbar at the top, welcome message, and paragraphs with images and between words.
